Our Mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County brings people together to build homes, communities and hope!

Love in action
We love our neighbors fiercely. We see beauty in diversity and seek to welcome and embrace everyone we encounter, regardless of race, faith, age, gender, political views, or any other distinctions that too often divide people.

Bringing people together
We gather people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ideologies and invite them to put aside their differences and become a force for good in the world — breaking down barriers and encouraging dialogue and learning.

We partner with families to help them build or improve safe, decent, affordable places to call home. We believe home is the key to unlocking a world of opportunity and security for homeowners, their children and generations to come.

We partner with entire communities to revitalize neighborhoods and connect people with the resources they need to thrive.

We speak and act with intention and optimism, inspiring our neighbors to live in hope of a brighter tomorrow.

Non-proselytizing Policy

Habitat for Humanity and its affiliate organizations will not proselytize, nor will Habitat work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Habitat. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
