Habitat for Humanity is well known for building homes. Kitsap Habitat homes are built with 90% volunteer labor. We depend on individuals like you who are willing to pound a nail or build a wall on the construction site to build homes for families in need. By working alongside our dedicated construction manager, volunteer construction team and partner families you will help us build Habitat houses while having a great time learning construction skills. No construction experience or tools necessary. After orientation, the best way to sign up is online on our volunteer schedule. Sign up today!
The Kitsap Store sells more than just building materials at a fraction of retail prices. We have furniture, appliances, housewares and even automotive materials. Proceeds from the store help fund the construction of Kitsap Habitat homes. Kitsap Habitat Stores needs volunteers to help manage the store, assist customers and keep merchandise in order and stocked. If you like working with people and in fun environments, this will be a great experience for you.
Building stable foundations for future generations takes lots of behind-the-scenes work from dedicated volunteers, and there are a variety of ways to do this beyond the construction site. There are many opportunities for you to support our work!
Office Administration: Help in our office with data entry, filing, mailings, and other general office duties. Hours are flexible, but a weekly commitment is requested.
Outreach: Help us spread the word! Use your voice to inspire our community to work together to revitalize neighborhoods. Volunteers are needed to conduct outreach through tabling events, social media, website and representing Habitat at community events.
Event Support: We host various outreach and support programs throughout the year: Women's Build, Home Dedications, and Groundbreakings. We always appreciate an extra hand with set-up, registration, and event wrap-up!
